Ultimate™ for Healthcare
Ultimate™ provides many applications for the Healthcare industry. Its success in this market is due directly to its functionality, flexbility, simplicity of use and the fact that it requires minimal user training.
Ultimate™ provides a pre-packaged database containing all the BNF Pharmacy warnings that need to be printed on drug labels. Maintenance is automatic in Ultimate relieving the user from having to relink what could be hundreds of products to a new or modified warning.
This allows Ultimate™ to be integrated into the validation process for each “batch” of labels by providing the user with a “Header label” that includes any variable data that the operator or back office system has supplied. This header label can be kept on file as a record of what was printed and when.
Pharmaceutical organizations and UK NHS Hospitals, who are licensed to manufacture and repackage drugs, require a validated labeling solution. Ultimate™ Platinum is developed to GAMP standards and is compliant with UK MHRA and US FDA 21CFR Part 11 standards.
Ultimate™ can take external CSV files and process them using rules defined in Episys Business Process Automation to create a database of Clinical Trial Set Requests for appropriate label printing.
Approvals
Approvals is an Ultimate™ module that provides a structured electronic methodology for approving label designs, database records and worksheets. It can eliminate the problems that occur in manual systems such as lengthy time delays for approval and the printing of unapproved labels, database records and worksheets. By linking the approvals process into the Ultimate™ Security System, the overall system becomes more secure and less prone to errors.
Mobile Applications
Ultimate™ can enable Hospital Ward-based Pharmacy Dispensing, by printing pharmacy labels on mobile printers in hospital wards, which saves the pharmacists time and money. They make fewer trips back to the pharmacy department, patients are discharged quicker from hospital beds, and significant cost savings can be made on drug stocks in the wards.
