Phase Eight simplifies ticketing
Fashion label Phase Eight has implemented the Retail Enterprise Suite from Episys to simplify the ticketing system at its outlet format stores to maintain a consistent look with its high street stores and concessions.
The outlet stores sell the previous season's designs at discounted prices. Up to 80 per cent of the stock at the outlets in Swindon, Ashford and Cheshire Oaks require tickets to be replaced due to reduced prices.
The brand wanted its customers to encounter the same premium experience in the outlet stores as it does in its high street stores, so wanted to avoid handwriting the markdown prices on the original tickets.
"We didn't want lots of 'red pen' price mark downs on the tickets, and it was really important for us to maintain Phase Eight's image as a premium fashion retailer. Every label in the store needed replacing, and writing on the labels wasn't an option," says Phase Eight merchandising manager Gary Crombie.
By using the ticketing system from Episys and the Pathfinder handheld terminal from Avery Dennison, Phase Eight is able to instantly print multiple tickets for each clothing line with the correct price, barcode and item description. Because it takes less time than reticketing by hand, store staff are available to serve customers.
Phase Eight has 70 stores and over 300 concessions in department stores including House of Fraser, John Lewis and Fenwicks.
